The Edward T. Rogowsky Internship Program in Government and Public Affairs
In honor of its former director, the Hon. Edward
T. Rogowsky, the CUNY Internship Program was renamed by the CUNY Board
of Trustees in a March, 2001 resolution. Launched with a $20,000 contribution
from CUNY Chancellor Matthew Goldstein, the Edward T. Rogowsky Scholarship
Fund was created shortly thereafter. This fund will provide a stipend
for an intensive year-long undergraduate internship at a New York City
agency. The stipend will be awarded through dividends accrued by the
Edward T. Rogowsky Scholarship Fund.
Marvin Rosenberg/Hubert H. Humphrey Internship Program in Public Policy
Through the Rosenberg/Humphrey Program, over 130 City College of New York students have interned at Executive and Congressional offices, House and Senate committees, labor unions, governmental agencies, advocacy groups and policy research organizations in Washington, DC and New York City. Students receive valuable work experience, exposure to new ideas and career options as well as direct contact with the political process. Rosenberg/Humphrey Interns have gone on to law and graduate schools as well as successful careers in the public sector, expanding the pool of local and national leadership.

Weissman Center for International Business
The Weissman Center for International Business arranges internships for Baruch undergraduate and graduate students with firms doing international business in the New York metropolitan area. The duration and structure of each internship is customized to meet the needs of both host and student.

Hunter College Center on AIDS, Drugs and Community Health
The Hunter Center on AIDS, Drugs and Community Health works to bring together community, science, practice, scholarship, and policy to fight urban health threats.
York College U.S. Food and Drug Administration
Positions involve instrumental and analytical chemistry employing HPLC, AA, FTIR, UV and other methods for the analysis of metals, colors, pesticides, food additives and pharmaceuticals.
Hunter College Dietetic Internship Program
The Dietetic Internship (DI) is a supervised practice program that enables graduates eligibility for the dietitian registration examination and active membership in the American Dietetic Association (ADA). The DI provides a minimum of 900 hours of supervised practice experience to meet the competencies for entry-level dietitians and the standards of education set forth by Commission on Accreditation in Dietetics (CADE), the accrediting arm of ADA. The Dietetic Internship is offered through the Nutrition and Food Science (NFS) and Public Health Nutrition track in the Urban Public Health (UPH) program in the School of Health Sciences - a specialized unit of Hunter which offers programs in health related professions.
Geography
Lehman College Internship Program in Geography Information Science
The Lehman College Department of Geology and Geography now has an Internship Program for students concentrating in Geography Information Science (GISc). The Internships earn 4 credits towards a degree, and can be paid or unpaid. Students in the internship program are expected to work at the job site from 8-20 hours per week for the term, depending on the needs of the particular employer and student.
Athletics
CUNY Athletics Internships for Students
Are you fit for TV? We are looking for student interns to work on a monthly sports show, airing on CUNY-TV. Writers, reporters, camera operators, tape editors and production assistants are needed and must receive school credit for their work.
Computer Science
The Citywide Information Technology Internship Program
CUNY's Institute for Software Design and Development (CISDD) and the Department of Information Technology and Telecommunications are pleased to announce a new internship program available to all City Agencies and CUNY Computer Science students.
NYSIA / CUNY Internship Program
The NYSIA/CUNY Internship Program, a year-round program, places CUNY computer science majors in internships with NYSIA member companies. Interns must have a 3.4 GPA or better in their major, and have completed at least 60 credits. Only undergraduate juniors and seniors are eligible to participate. HIGH SCHOOL, GRADUATE, AND PHD STUDENTS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR THIS PROGRAM.
HRA Internship Program
In partnership with the Human Resource Administration (HRA), CISDD offers an exciting internship program for CUNY undergraduate and graduate computer science students. The program currently consists of over 40 student interns and allows students to receive practical hands-on training and experience while assisting HRA in achieving their long-term technical objectives. Students work in a variety of HRA locations, applying their technical and professional skills in the areas of consulting, network administration, programming and databases.

Cooperative Education
Borough of Manhattan Community College Department of Cooperative Education Internships
Each student intern is assigned to a coordinator (a faculty member in the Department of Cooperative Education) who is knowledgeable about the student's field. The coordinator helps the student secure internship placement and serves as the student's instructor and advisor during the field experience. In addition, the student has a unique opportunity to discuss and evaluate broader goals and career objectives on an individual basis.
LaGuardia Community College Cooperative Education Department Internships
Students choose their internships from over 600 cooperating companies and organizations. The internships span a wide range of fields including accounting, business, education, the liberal arts, natural and applied sciences, computer related fields, and office technology. Students are placed on internships through an interview process with the prospective employer, arranged and coordinated by Co-op faculty.
